OUR PROCESS

The following basic steps represent a roadmap for a successful MIP find accounting implementation. These steps are further detailed in a project plan specifically tailored to each unique implementation.

  • Assess System and Organization
    With our experience and development tools, we are able to quickly assess your system needs and requirements to create the best solution for your organization.
  • Design Chart of Accounts
    Designing a comprehensive chart of accounts is one of the most important tasks in the entire implementation process. A good chart of accounts will ensure you have a logical system that fully utilizes all of Sage MIP Fund Accounting features: the best cost tracking, reporting capabilities, and sufficient room for future growth. We have developed specialized tools to assist you in this process.
  • Data Conversion
    We understand that your normal daily duties need to continue through a system conversion. We help you and your staff to prioritize tasks, organize critical information, and minimize data entry required to set up your new system so you to focus on your day-to-day activities. For example, if your vendor and/or customer data can be exported from your current system, we will place it in an Excel spreadsheet giving you an opportunity to "Clean Up" the data and then import it into Sage MIP Fund Accounting.
  • Create Your Organization in Sage MIP Fund Accounting
    Based on our assessment of your organization specific needs and reporting requirements, we will create your organization in Sage MIP Fund Accounting. Your chart of accounts, vendor data and customer data can be imported into MIP so no additional data entry is required. We will also complete various setup tasks and create standard reports.
  • Install Sage MIP Fund Accounting on Your System
    We employ a standardized implementation process, identifying and prioritizing tasks for the most efficient implementation possible. We will install the Sage MIP Fund Accounting on your network and copy your organization's data file to your system.
  • On-Site System Training
    System training is provided in your office — one on one with you and your staff tailored to your specific needs. We have created a comprehensive training manual and program designed to take you through every transaction, step by step. We teach you and your staff how to use MIP using a copy of your actual accounting data file. This provides you with "hands on" experience entering and processing transactions, preparing reports, and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Develop Custom Interface
    Implementing a new accounting system provides you with the opportunity to review your current operational processes and procedures. We are available to develop utilities that interface to your other business systems further increasing the productivity of your staff. Interfacing with payroll, fundraising/donor system, and bank reconciliations applications are just some of the custom solutions we have provided to our clients.
  • On Going Support
    We are available and stand ready to help you with any on going support needs, such as training new staff members, interfacing with other applications, and developing custom applications.
